The SINGA scholarship provides comprehensive financial support for up to 4 years of PhD studies, allowing you to focus entirely on your research.
Full Tuition Fees: 100% of your tuition fees are covered.
Monthly Stipend: You will receive S$2,700 per month, which increases to S$3,200 per month after successfully passing the Qualifying Examination.
Airfare Grant: A one-time grant of up to S$1,500 for your international flight.
Settling-in Allowance: A one-time allowance of S$1,000 upon arrival.
No Bond Requirement: You are not required to work in Singapore or take up citizenship after graduation.
Eligibility Criteria
Target Group: Open to all international graduates who have a passion for research and excellent academic results.
Study Fields: The award specifically supports PhD studies in Science and Engineering, including Biomedical Sciences, Computing and Information Sciences, Physical Sciences, and Engineering and Technology. (Note: It does not support MBAs or PhDs in humanities or business management).
Language Skills: Applicants must have good skills in written and spoken English. While SINGA does not strictly require GRE, IELTS, or TOEFL scores to apply, individual universities may request them later for admission.
References: You must secure two recommendation reports from academic referees.
