Status: The online window for the Embassy Track strictly closed on February
25, 2026. If you missed this, you cannot apply via the embassy this
year.
The University Track (STILL OPEN!)
- The
Process: You apply directly to one participating Korean
university. The university evaluates you and then nominates you directly
to NIIED.
- The
Status: Deadlines are set independently by each participating
university, and the majority of these windows close between mid-March
and late April 2026. This is your active pathway right now!

ONE University: Review the official "Available Universities"
spreadsheet on the Study in Korea portal. You may only apply to one
institution under this track.
- Check
University Deadlines: Go to your chosen university's international
admissions website to find their exact GKS application deadline and
specific mailing instructions.
- Submit
Documents: Mail your physical application dossier directly to the
university's international office before their specific deadline.
- First
Round Selection: The university evaluates your application and
conducts interviews (March/April).
- NIIED
Final Review: The university forwards successful candidates to NIIED
for final approval (May).
- Final
Results: Announced in late June 2026.
6. Required Documents (The Apostille Rule)
Korean universities are incredibly strict about document
formatting. You must provide:

Recommendation Letter (signed and sealed).
