application journey.
The LiU International Scholarship is one of the most
sought-after merit awards in Sweden, but it has a notoriously short application
window. It opens on the exact same day you receive your admission offer and
closes just four days later.

Scholarship Details & Financial Value
The LiU International Scholarship is a merit-based tuition
waiver aimed at supporting international students with significant academic
potential.
- Coverage:
It covers 25%, 50%, or 75% of the tuition fees. (The 50% waiver is
the most common award).
- Scope:
This is a tuition-only waiver. It does not cover living costs,
accommodation, or travel expenses.
- Duration:
The waiver applies for the full duration of your Master's programme,
provided you pass at least 75% of your credits each academic year.
Who Is Eligible? (The "First Priority" Rule)
You cannot apply for this scholarship unless you meet ALL
of these specific criteria:
- Non-EU/EEA
Citizen: You must be required to pay tuition fees in Sweden.
- LiU
as #1 Priority: You must have ranked a Linköping University Master's
programme as your First Choice on UniversityAdmissions.se.
- Admitted:
You must be admitted to your first-choice programme in the Notification
of Selection Results on March 26, 2026.
- Documents:
You must have submitted all your Bachelor's transcripts and required
documents on time (by the February deadline).
The "96-Hour" Application Strategy
Because the window is so short, you cannot wait until March
26 to start thinking about this.

1: Mark Your Calendar. Set an alarm for the morning of March 26,
2026.
- Step
2: Check Admission Results. Log in to UniversityAdmissions.se. If you
see "ADMITTED" for Linköping University, proceed immediately.
- Step
3: Access the Form. Eligible students will be able to access the
scholarship application form directly on the LiU website (or via a link in
their admission email).
- Step
4: Apply Instantly. The form is usually brief, but do not delay. The
portal closes strictly at 23:59 CET on March 30, 2026.
